Stampin’ Up! 2018 Occasions + SAB Display Stamper Blog Hop 2

Welcome to the Stampin’ Up! 2018 Occasions + Sale-A-Bration Display Stamper Blog Hop. We are Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all around the world who were chosen as display stampers at our recent OnStage events that took place all across the globe. Over the 7 days of the hop we will show you all the projects we made using the brand new products in the 2018 Occasions and Sale-A-Bration Catalogues. Today is the 2nd day of the hop.

Whether you are starting with me - Lou Kitzelman from the Sunshine Coast, Australia - or have hopped over from the uber talented and member of the current Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team, Tanya Boser, strap yourself in - you are about to see so many new products you just have to have! Better get that wish list handy!

Yesterday I showed you some wall decor using the Petal Palette stamp set. Today I have a sneak peek for you of the Petal Passion Memories & More card pack that coordinates with it. It is so beautiful and perfect for memory keeping and card making.

In my layout you can see some of the elements from the pack - a die cut frame and word and one of the cards. Perfect for an album page or wall art.

The die cut words and shapes come in white and can be coloured. For 'today' I have used Stampin' Blends. I have added some texture to the background by stamping the leaf in Versamark and embossing with clear powder. Oh and did you see the metal flower embellishment? There are so many coordinating products in this suite! I nearly forgot - what about the gathered Petal Passion Designer series paper? So many pretties!

You may have guessed that I am in love with this suite. It does all the work for you!

And why not use some of the cards in the pack to help you create quick and easy cards like this one?

I used markers to help emphasis the gorgeous fonts on these stamps.

The Petal Passion Memories & More card pack also has acrylic overlays .......

and stickers that can be coloured with Stampin' Blends. Add them together and you get a really pretty card that it incredibly difficult to photograph!

One last thing! This is my name panel using different products from the suite. All you need to is add a sentiment such as 'Happy Birthday' where my name is and you have a great card.

Make sure you hop around to each blog. Be prepared to be amazed! If you miss any of the 7 days of the hop you can see all of my posts here. Next up is the incredibly talented member of the current Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team, Mindy Backes.

Stampin’ Up! 2018 Occasions + SAB Display Stamper Blog Hop 1

Today is the 1st day of the hop.

Artisan Design Team, Tanya Boser, strap yourself in - you are about to see so many new products you just have to have! Better get that wish list handy!

Before I show you my first lot of projects I just need to pinch myself. Have seen the talent of the line up. I broke into a minor sweat when I saw most of my Stampin' Idols in the line up? Major fan girl moment! So time to wipe my brow, put my big girl pants on and dive right in!

My favourite projects were these embroidery hoop wall decorations. So simple - a bit like me! They add a great touch to your home decor and are embarrassingly easy.

I actually shared them last week before I knew about this hop but wanted to add them in because I love them! Thought I would lead with my favourites! Hoop wall art is right on trend at the moment and who knew it would be so easy to do! The stamp set is called Petal Palette. I have heaps of other projects to show you over the next few days that I have made using it.

After a lot of experimentation, I found the best combination was rubber backed curtaining and Basic Black Archival ink. I coloured with watercolour pencils and  used an Aqua Painter to blend. Of course you could add way more detail but I liked the white space - I felt it helped highlight the stamped images.

Can you see the cute little leaves? They are called Petal Passion Embellishments and add a great touch to projects like this.

To top off each embroidery hoop I have added some Calypso Coral Ombre ribbon to match the watercolouring and some black and silver mini sequin trim for no other reason than I am addicted to using them - oh and I think they look great too!

Once the stamped and watercoloured images were dry, I simply placed in a 4" embroidery hoop, tightened and trimmed away excess fabric.

What Will You Stamp? - #143 - Text ya later

Welcome to this week's challenge at What Will You Stamp? Each week we feature a different stamp set and start off the challenge by sharing our ideas for using it and then it is over to you. So check out all of the Design Team projects and if you are up for the challenge you can add your projects too. You might even be chosen as our next Guest Designer!

This week we are showcasing Text Ya Later.

I thought I would make a fun Christmas card. Cracks me up every time I look at it!

All I had to do was a bit of masking to cut off the words I didn't want to stamp. I have used the greeting from Santa's Sleigh. For the coloured green speech bubbles I have stamped off with Garden Green. It is a bit patchy but I decided to go with it - time crunches happen!

Add in some ribbon and a few sprigs left over from another project and you have a quick and easy card that I think would be perfect for a teenager - or anyone really.

This stamp is really easy to adapt to any occasion. It already has so many great phrases but by adding in some occasion specific words you get so much more mileage from it.

Make sure you check out all of the other projects from the other Design Team members and enter your project. We'd love to see what you create.
